How to get insurance for a Schengen visa

Every Schengen visa applicant must submit a travel health insurance policy with their application. The policy has to be valid in all Schengen member states, include at least €30,000 of medical cover and span the entire duration of the trip.

You need the policy before your visa appointment, as consulates ask for a printout at the time of application. Policies bought on Tripuck are emailed as a PDF immediately after payment is approved, and the same document can be downloaded from your order page.

If your visa is refused, policies that include visa refusal coverage allow you to claim a premium refund by submitting the consulate refusal letter. This cover is not part of every product, so check the product name on the quote screen.
