The journey takes approximately 30-50 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Buses generally depart every 10-20 minutes, with intervals extending to 20-30 minutes late at night. Services start around 04:30-05:00 in the morning and continue until around 23:00-00:00.

Shuttle: You can arrange transportation to the airport via shuttles organized by your hotel or tour agency. These shuttles depart from specific points in the city center and reach the airport in 25-40 minutes. Departure times vary based on reservations.

Taxi: You can take a taxi from any point in the city center to the airport. The journey takes between 20-40 minutes. Taxis are readily available at all hours.

Uber/99: By selecting REC airport as your destination in the app, you can reach the airport in 20-35 minutes with a vehicle called through the app. The app offers a fast and practical option.

Car Rental: You can drive to the airport with a rented car from the city center and leave it at the car return area. You can then reach the terminal with a short walk.

Recife Guararapes–Gilberto Freyre International Airport (REC) has the W Premium Lounge (also referred to as W Lounge in some sources). This lounge serves both international and domestic passengers. It is located on the 2nd floor, next to Gate B17, after security and passport control. Services offered include Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a spacious seating area. Access to the lounge does not require affiliation with a specific airline; it is independently operated. Additionally, the previously available Proair Sala VIP lounge was permanently closed as of September 2022.
